Seminar on ‘Water and The Future of India’

The Sea Explorers’ Institute,  Kolkata   and   School of  Oceanographic  Studies,  Jadavpur University  will  hold  a Seminar on the  topic ‘Water and The Future of India’ on   Thursday, 3rd March, 2011 from 2:00 to 5:00 PM at Dr. K. P. Basu Memorial Hall, Jadavpur University .

Prof. Pradip Narayan Ghosh, Vice-Chancellor, Jadavpur University,  will preside over the Seminar .

Eminent speakers  like  Dr. Jayanta Bandyopadhyay, Dr. Kalyan  Rudra, and  Dr. Sugata Hazra will deliver speeches. .

The Sea Explorers’ Institute has been working for over two decades towards creating awareness on River, especially the River Ganga and its importance in our everyday life.

It is ironical that although the Ganges River is the main source of potable water to many cities and towns and for irrigation, she is the most polluted river carrying huge amount of garbage dumped everyday by various users . River Awareness

Sea Explorers’ Institute is working for the last two decades towards creating awareness on River, especially River Ganga, its importance in our everyday life.
