High Altitude Trekking and Rafting Expedition 2010 (Uttarakhand)

Trekking and Rafting Expedition, Sikkim (2009)

A 12 day high  altitude trekking and rafting expedition was successfully completed by a team of 10 explorers. A distance of 161 Kms was covered past Sevok, Melli, Jorethang, Legship, Tashiding to reach Yaksam in West Sikkim. From Yaksam, Sachen and Bakhem was trekked past to reach Dzongri. On the return journey, the route via Thangsing and Tshoka was taken to reach back Yaksam.

The 2nd part of the expedition began from Mumring along the swift flowing Tista river. The team made an adventurous rafting expedition from Mumring via Tarkhola, Melli and Kalijhora to end at the Coronation Bridge near Siliguri on the 23rd of September, 2009.
